British menswear will get the recognition it deserves this summer (Guardian)
"It's not long now until British menswear finally emerges from the shadow of womenswear to stage its very own fashion event in London. Goodbye one day of men's fashion tacked to the end of the women's shows, and hello to a three-day blockbuster event all of its own."

Arnault to invest in Maxime Simoens (FashionUnited)
"LVMH chairman Bernard Arnault is making an investment in newcomer Maxime Simoens. According to WWD, industry sources say that Arnault will take an as yet unknown stake in the 27 year old Frenchman's eponymous brand."

Fancy hits 500,000 users with Pinterest-like social shopping service (Gigaom)
"Well, Fancy is not Pinterest big by any means but it's seen its user base double in the last two months to 500,000 users, who are fancying or curating more than half a million items a day. There are now more than a thousand merchants signing up to list their products against this emerging demand."

'It's Not You, It's Me,' We Tell Our Clothes (NY Times)
"Cathy Begien estimates she has purchased 50 shirts from Steven Alan... But at a certain point, she began to feel as if she and the line no longer quite matched up. 'The personality was a little off,' she said. 'It felt contrived.' So, Ms. Begien 'broke up' with Steven Alan."

Victoria Beckham's Social Whirl (WWD)
"Tuesday was Victoria Beckham's 38th birthday — but it was also the same day she unveiled the launch of her brand's Facebook page over Twitter. She tweeted the news to her more than 3.3 million followers at 9:43 a.m., encouraging them to follow her on the brand's new Facebook timeline at Facebook.com/victoriabeckham, and within 24 hours (to the minute), the page went from just over 12,000 'likes' to 105,551 — a 780 percent increase."
