LONDON, United Kingdom — When we first launched our Twitter account back in December 2008, I have to admit I had no idea how BoF would use the nascent social media tool. Naysayers were already dismissing the platform. But as with many things here at The Business of Fashion, we decided to conduct an experiment and gauge the results for ourselves.
Well, less than three years later, I am delighted to report that, as of today, our global community on Twitter numbers more than 500,000 people! Indeed, Twitter has become one of the most immediate and powerful ways for BoF to interact with you, our readers. It has been the ideal vehicle for listening to your input and leading a global conversation on the fast-evolving fashion industry through live coverage from fashion weeks and events around the world — including our own live Fashion Pioneers interviews — as well as tweets that signal the publication of new content, as it goes live on the BoF site, every single day.
This week, we have also launched a brand new BoF Daily Newsletter. Our subscribers — including executives, entrepreneurs, and other fashion industry decision-makers — will now receive a content-rich email newsletter that’s in tune with our aesthetic and enables us to monetise this valuable daily real estate through advertising and sponsorship. If you are interesting in advertising or sponsoring BoF, please contact us here.
And for those of you who haven’t yet subscribed, what are you waiting for? Click here to get our complimentary newsletter with all the fashion industry news and analysis that you need to know, delivered straight to your inbox every morning.
Finally, as we grow and continue to offer free and unrestricted access to BoF, we also want to learn more about our community of regular visitors. Therefore, starting today, once you have read more than 10 articles per month, we kindly request that you create a BoF user profile and share some basic information, so that we can better serve you with the news and analysis we provide, every day. Creating a profile takes less than 60 seconds and can be linked to your Facebook account for easy login.
Sincerely, Imran Amed
