Agenda-setting intelligence, analysis and advice for the global fashion community.
LONDON, United Kingdom — Education has long been part of the DNA of The Business of Fashion. In the early days of BoF, I wrote a series of articles called 'The Basics,' a kind of 101 for young designers and fashion entrepreneurs on how to build a fashion business from scratch. Almost ten years later, the series remains the most widely read content on the site.
Last year, alongside the unveiling of the first Global Fashion School Rankings, we decided to create new online courses supported by sponsors, building on The Basics. And, today, I'm pleased to reveal that later this year we will be offering a wider selection of courses, taught by top industry professionals. By taking these courses, participants will not only come away with invaluable insight and practical skills, but earn BoF Education Certification.
Starting today, we invite members of the BoF community to register their interest for six interactive courses covering topics from Buying & Merchandising to Digital Marketing and Fashion History, as well as Fashion 101, an introductory overview of the entire eco-system of the fashion business, a unique course designed to give a helicopter view of how the industry works.
BoF Education is the only platform that lets students study professional online fashion business courses at their own pace, coming with official certification from a brand recognised and respected throughout the global fashion industry. Each course will consist of exclusive, dedicated video content, providing real-life insights from leading figures, case studies, live Q&A sessions and online tests. Having successfully completed a course, students will benefit from access to BoF Careers — the global marketplace for fashion talent — and the opportunity to apply for positions at more than 200 top fashion companies around the world.
Want to fast-track your career in fashion? Learn more about specific course content and materials here and let us know which courses are most useful to you by registering your interest now.
From analysis of the global fashion and beauty industries to career and personal advice, BoF’s founder and CEO, Imran Amed, will be answering your questions on Sunday, February 18, 2024 during London Fashion Week.
The State of Fashion 2024 breaks down the 10 themes that will define the industry in the year ahead.
Imran Amed reviews the most important fashion stories of the year and shares his predictions on what this means for the industry in 2024.
After three days of inspiring talks, guests closed out BoF’s gathering for big thinkers with a black tie gala followed by an intimate performance from Rita Ora — guest starring Billy Porter.
