LONDON, United Kingdom — Biannual fashion tome Love magazine has appointed stylist and longtime contributor Panos Yiapanis as fashion director-at-large, reporting to editor-in-chief Katie Grand. Over the last decade, independent stylist Yiapanis' aesthetic, darkly romantic with nods to youth and counter culture, has been sought out by publications including i-D magazine, Vogue Italia, and W magazine, as well as fashion brands like Givenchy and Rick Owens.

Yiapanis has been a regular contributor to the playful and provocative Love magazine since the Condé Nast title debuted in 2009. His contributions include four covers for the sixth issue with Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and story entitled "30 Years of Optimism" for the seventh issue with Mario Testino.
“Having been a nomadic contributor for all my career, I am extremely excited at the prospect and opportunities that this position brings,” Yiapanis said of his appointment in a statement.

Greek-born Yiapanis arrived in London initially to study sculpture before he befriended the late fashion photographer Corinne Day, whom Yiapanis credits with introducing him to the fashion industry.
Having built a diverse portfolio that includes advertising campaigns for Roberto Cavalli, Calvin Klein and Chanel, Yiapanis also consults on runway shows, most recently for close friend Rick Owens' Autumn 2013 catwalk. He has also built strong relationships with influential photographers including Steven Klein, Steven Meisel, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Love's editor-in-chief Katie Grand said that Yiapanis "has a completely unique view point on fashion and is a magnificent talent. I'm extremely privileged to have worked with Panos over the years and beyond excited to have him as a permanent fixture on the Love masthead."
