PARIS, France — All hail the fashion nerds!
On Monday, BoF unveiled the second annual #BoF500, exploring the people shaping the global fashion industry. And all week we have been profiling the standout Polymaths & Multitaskers among them with in-depth features from our limited-run special print edition, which has been selling like hot cakes!
From Caroline Issa and Maurizio Cattelan to Tim Blanks and the legendary Karl Lagerfeld (our cover star), the BoF team was thrilled to sit down and learn about the personal and professional trajectories of some of fashion's biggest overachievers.
But the undoubted highlight of the week came yesterday at an informal meet-and-greet kindly hosted by Sarah Andelman at Colette, the undisputed retail epicentre of Paris Fashion Week. At the event, I was so thrilled to meet readers from across Paris, including students from INSEAD and Institut Français de la Mode. We also had a special guest appearance from the multitasking Karl Lagerfeld himself, who graciously took time from his Chanel fittings to come and say hello and see the life-sized version of our Vishnu-inspired cover. Thank you Mr Lagerfeld.

Encyclopaedia Blanks
From Buffy The Vampire Slayer to obscure indie bands, Tim Blanks' vast cultural lexicon has brought vitality to his famous show reviews. BoF discovers that, more often than not, the polymathic critic lived rather than learnt his reference points.
Catching the Toiletpaper Virus
At Toiletpaper, artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari are creating provocative, hyperreal imagery that has 'infected' fashion with its naughtiness, irony, humour and shock value.
Caroline Issa, A Beautiful Mind
