Coco Rocha is a Canadian model best known for her theatrical poses, elfin features and her brand-building social media presence. Rocha’s highest profile work was her enduring relationship with the handbag brand Longchamp, for which she has appeared in numerous campaigns. Other commercial campaigns include Zac Posen, Banana Republic , L’Oréal, Sass & Bide, Massimo Dutti and Diesel. Additionally, Rocha has walked for the runway shows of brands including John Galliano and Miu Miu.
Rocha has an extensive editorial portfolio, having appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia and in numerous American Vogue editorials. She has also landed a score of covers for international editions of some of fashion’s biggest publications, including Vogue Thailand, Elle Korea and Spain, Elle Brazil and Harper’s Bazaar Singapore.
Rocha’s powerful personal brand was recognised by the Oxygen Channel and Naomi Campbell , when she was selected, along with tennis professional Karolina Kurkova, to be a judge on Campbell’s reality modelling show The Face.
Rocha started her professional career in 2004, signing with Supreme agency in New York, having been scouted at an Irish dancing competition in Canada by Charles Stuart. Two years later, Rocha met fashion photographer Steven Meisel , who cast her in an editorial with Gemma Ward and Amanda Moore. The editorial kickstarted her career and would land her the cover of the February 2006 issue of Vogue Italia.
In 2016, Rocha became an owner of and model for Nomad Mgmt, a global model and talent management company, also acting as a brand director and mentor for the models. She also founded the Coco Rocha Model Camp, a multi-day master class for female models and photographers, which has its own merchandise brand under the creative direction of her husband, James Conran. He is also a co-owner of Nomad Mgmt.
Conran and Rocha have two children, Ioni and Iver.
