Fashion journalist and creative consultant Erika Palomino is one of Brazil’s most trusted authorities on the fashion industry, with decades’ worth of experience writing about fashion, and is currently the director of São Paulo Cultural Center. Before, she was editor-in-chief of L’Officiel Brasil.
Palomino started her career at the daily newspaper Folha de São Paulo, where she spent 17 years writing about culture and fashion, and has also authored two books on fashion. In addition, she is a creative consultant for Brazilian middle market footwear brand Melissa, which is owned by the Grendene family.
In May 2012, she joined forces with French publisher Editions Jalou to re-launch L’Officiel Brasil, which she introduced as “fashion with sensuality, information and contemporary, with Brazilian flavor and the savoir-faire of the French title” in her inaugural letter. At the same time that she has elevated Brazilian fashion, Palomino has remained savvy about digital media and has a Twitter following of over 130,000. She is married with two children.
