Janice Min

Media Consultant

Biography

Janice Min is a media consultant at NBC Universal Cable Entertainment, and Valence Media, the owners of The Hollywood Reporter, Billboard, MRC and Dick Clark Productions. She most recently served as co-president and chief creative officer of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group. Alec Baldwin recently anointed Min “The Turnaround Artist” in his influential podcast for her game-changing transformations of legacy media brands at both THR and, a decade earlier, Us Weekly

Min helmed THR as it garnered two National Magazine Awards, five nominations, 34 National Arts & Entertainment Journalism honors (including Best Entertainment Publication and Best Entertainment Website), and a Webby. She also led the successful conversion of THR and Billboard into video and television, winning an Emmy for “Hollywood in Focus: Wolf of Wall Street” in 2014. More recently, she has served as a strong voice in the #MeToo movement, guiding media conversations about the subject with interviews in places including the New York Times and Real Time with Bill Maher

A graduate of Columbia College and Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism, Min has been named Adweek’s Editor of the Year. She currently serves as vice president on the board of the American Society of Magazine Editors, and sits on the board of The Paley Center for Media’s Los Angeles Board of Governors.
