SHANGHAI, China – Last night in Shanghai, fashion professionals reflecting the full spectrum of the Chinese fashion industry — including models Liu Wen, Danni Li and Lv Yan; designers Jason Wu, Masha Ma and Huishan Zhang; and scores of executives, artists and editors from Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai and beyond — gathered to celebrate the launch of BoF China, a new destination that brings BoF's authoritative, analytical, award winning journalism to the $300 billion Chinese fashion and apparel industry.
Hosted by Melvin Chua, founder and president Ink Pak Communications, Andrew Keith, president of Lane Crawford, and Imran Amed, BoF's founder and editor-in-chief, guests dined poolside at The Peninsula Hotel, buzzing about the new destination site that serves up the best of BoF content in Chinese.
In a toast to the gathered luminaries, Amed commented on the timing of BoF’s new Chinese venture: “Now is a particularly interesting time in China. With slowing growth and the rise in sophistication of the Chinese consumer, the market is entering a new phase of consolidation and competition, making analysis of the Chinese market even more important.”
“We think it is important to be here, on the ground, to gather insight and share that with our global readership.”
As of today, BoF’s Daily Digest newsletter is now available in the Chinese language. Click here to visit BoF China and subscribe to receive all the fashion news you need to know in your inbox each morning.
