Loblaw's Joe Fresh hooks up with J.C. Penney (The Globe and Mail)
"In a risky move, the grocer's apparel line is opening about 700 shops within the U.S. department-store retailer Grocer Loblaw Cos. Ltd. is making a big retail bet in the United States with its Joe Fresh fashion line, amid slowing spring sales of its cheap-chic offerings in a sluggish Canadian apparel market."

Gucci win trademark case against Guccio Gucci (Telegraph)

PPR Finds Bolt No Match For Champagne In Race With LVMH (Bloomberg)
"As chief executive officer of PPR -- the French company that owns shoemaker Puma -- Pinault has a lot riding on Bolt, one of the few star athletes to wear the footwear brand. If Bolt fails to retain his 100-meter title in London, 'it would be a real blow for Puma,' said Thomas Mesmin, an analyst with brokerage CA Cheuvreux in Paris."
