Agenda-setting intelligence, analysis and advice for the global fashion community.
LONDON, United Kingdom — As part of a longstanding tradition here at BoF, we are asking for your help. Please fill out our community survey to help us understand you better. Your feedback and suggestions will help us improve and develop BoF in the future.
Our first community survey took place way back in November 2007 and provided some fascinating insights about our budding community, which, looking back, really foreshadowed the global BoF community of today — even though there were only 65 responses!
Here are the highlights from last year's survey results:
The BoF community is growing but remains loyal and engaged

The majority of you visit BoF daily, and 95 percent of you don’t go a week without reading a BoF article. This level of engagement is what makes our community so special. We are continuously striving to improve our platform, analysis and products to offer you what you need and want to see at BoF. Your feedback shapes our decisions, and the community survey provides insightful ideas and meaningful criticism.
The next generation is waiting – and is ready to learn
24 percent of the BoF community are students and in their early career stages. We want to make sure that they find the knowledge, mentorship and insight needed to understand the industry. Last year, you requested more courses, so we introduced two Masterclasses, The Art and Science of Buying and Merchandising and Fashion History For Today, alongside the second edition of the Global Fashion School Rankings in August. This is just the beginning – the team is already working on the next courses.
You represent a cross-section of the fashion industry – and beyond
We are proud to continuously attract key decision makers, leading creatives, as well as young fashion industry talent to our community. We also aim to open the industry up to those on the outside, eager to learn about fashion or join in. Last year, 16 percent of the respondents were working outside of the fashion industry. As one of you wrote, BoF aims to make “information about the fashion industry accessible to those outside the industry, [while] still conveying [it] in a way relevant to insiders."
Today, we are asking for your help again to fill out this year's BoF community survey. As a gesture of gratitude, those who fill out the survey will have a chance to win a gift card from Avenue 32 valued at either £500 or £250.
Thank you for your on-going support. You can fill out the survey here.
