NEW YORK, United States — Continuing the #BoFLive video interview series that has previously featured such respected industry figures as Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet and billion-dollar brand-builder Tory Burch, we are delighted to announce that BoF's Imran Amed will host a live, in-depth interview with Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, founders of the game-changing fashion retail concept Opening Ceremony.

The interview will take place in front of a live audience of the BoF community, including members of the BoF 500, and fashion students from Parsons, The New School for Design, at New York's Neuehouse on Monday, 10 February at 6:30 PM EST (11:30 PM GMT).

Having met as undergraduates at the University of California, Berkeley, in 1993, Lim and Leon travelled to Hong Kong together in 2001 while employed in corporate jobs at Bally and Burberry. The fateful trip sparked the pair’s imagination and inspired them to turn their mutual love of fashion, product and retail into their own business.

Twelve years on, Opening Ceremony is one of the world’s most respected fashion retailers, with a compelling high-low edit and collaborative product lines. As well as stores in Los Angeles, Tokyo, and London, the brand has its own apparel line and has partnered with Acne Studios, Topshop, Pendleton and Target, amongst many others.

In addition to their work at Opening Ceremony, Lim and Leon were appointed creative directors of fashion label Kenzo in 2011. Their work for the then-staid Parisian house has injected new energy into the brand, including collaborations with actress Chloe Sevigny, Jean-Paul Goude and director Spike Jonze.

Don’t miss out on your chance to hear how these two friends embarked on an incredible journey to the very top of the fashion industry.

For a taste of what's to come, please enjoy the introductory trailer above. As with previous live interviews, the discussion between Carol Lim and Humberto Leon and Imran Amed will be live-streamed on BoF and, in the lead up to the interview, we will be taking questions from Twitter (please use hashtag #BoFLive).
