Celine CEO appointed president of Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine

France's Fédération de la haute couture et de la Mode (FHCM) has elected Celine Chief Executive Séverine Merle president of Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Masculine. Merle replaces Sidney Toledano, who had two mandates starting 2015.

Two Burberry board members to step down

Former InStyle President Stephanie George, who has sat on Burberry’s board since 2006, and Ian Carter, president of Hilton Global, who joined Burberry in 2007, are both stepping down as non-executive directors of the British luxury brand. Their departures will be effective after Burberry’s annual general meeting on July 17, 2019.

Esquire editor-in-chief to depart

Jay Fielden is leaving Esquire after three and a half years at the helm of the publication. He has stated that he will stay on to oversee the rollout of the magazine's Summer 2019 issue, which was revealed earlier this week.

The RealReal adds to board of directors

The RealReal has added four new members to its board; PVH President Stefan Larsson, former Amazon Google executive James Miller, Niki Leondakis, president of The Wolff Resident Experience Company, and former Yelp Chief Financial Officer Rob Krolik. The appointments bring the company board's total headcount to eight.

Intidex appoints new CEO

Zara owner Intidex has splintered its current dual role of chief executive and chairman. As a result, Pablo Isla will become executive chairman — rather than his previous role as both chief executive and chairman — and Chief Operating Officer Carlos Crespo has been appointed chief executive of the company. The changes will take effect in July 2019, pending approval from Intidex's board of directors and shareholders.

CEO of Benetton family holding company to depart

Marco Patuano, the chief executive of the Benetton family’s holding company Edizione, is stepping down after two and a half years in the role.

J.C. Penney names chief customer officer

American department store chain J.C. Penney has appointed Shawn Gensch executive vice president and chief customer officer, effective June 3. Joining the company from Sprouts Farmers Market, where he was also chief customer officer, Gensch will report to Chief Executive Jill Soltau.

PVH names Stefan Larsson president

Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein owner PVH Corp. has appointed Stefan Larsson to the newly created role of president. Larsson was previously chief executive of Ralph Lauren. Starting June 3, he will report to PVH Chief Executive and Chairman Emanuel Chirico.
