LONDON, United Kingdom – BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Condé Nast Media Group Appoints Edward Menicheschi as Chief Markting Officer and President 
Edward Menicheschi has been appointed chief marketing officer and president of the Condé Nast Media Group. "Edward has posted extraordinary business results while leading Vanity Fair's drive into cross-platform ad initiatives including digital, print, video and event activation," said Robert A Sauerberg, president of Condé Nast, in a statement. "This is an unprecedented opportunity to transform the Condé Nast Media Group to more effectively reach premium audiences, cultivate data services, and innovate new ad products, native and client solutions, and large cross-platform deals," added Menicheschi.

Condé Nast Promotes Matt Rice to Publisher of Style.com and NowManifest
Matt Rice has been promoted to publisher at Style.com and NowManifest, effective immediately. "Matt has been very effective at building awareness of Style.com and NowManifest among advertisers looking to connect with deeply-engaged audiences of fashion influencers. He will continue to expand these brands at Condé Nast as we look to increase their reach on all platforms," said Robert Sauerberg, president of Condé Nast. "Reaching a premium audience like ours is more important to our marketing partners than ever before and the opportunities ahead of us are truly exciting," said Rice in a statement. A long time Condé Nast employee, Rice has held roles at WWD, Details, Glamour and Teen Vogue.

Julian Geiger Returns to Aéropostale as Chief Executive Officer
Returning chief executive Julian Geiger will replace Thomas P. Johnson, following Geiger's appointment to the company's board in May. Geiger said in a statement, "My decision to return to Aéropostale to be its chief executive officer is one that was easy to make. The opportunity for sales and profit growth; the ability to reinforce the company's special culture, and the chance to work closely with, and influence, the management team and the field organization combine to create a compelling and dynamic challenge." Geiger's first tenure as chief executive, which ran from 1998 to 2010, coincided with a period of impressive growth period for the brand.

Dillard's Chief Executive James Freeman to Retire
James Freeman has announced his intention to retire at the end of the current fiscal year. Dillard will, however, continue as a director of the department store group. Freeman became a member of the Arkansas based group board in 1991, following his qualification as a certified accountant. Dillards has not selected Freeeman's successor and is considering external and internal candidates. 

Tony Assorgi joins Buffalo David Bitton as Vice President of Men's Division Sales
Tony Assorgi has been appointed to the new role of vice president of sales for Buffalo David Bitton's men's division. Todd Howard, president and chief executive of the company told press, "[Assorgi is] a smart and energetic leader with a wealth of merchandising and management experience in men's wear." Assorgi joins the role from a similar position at Li & Fung. He has previously worked at Tommy Hilfiger and Marc Ecko Enterprises.
