Hermès hires VP of press and influence
Hermès has tapped Michael Carl as its vice president of press and influence, in a newly created role. Carl was previously fashion director at Vanity Fair for six years until May 2018. He will report to Peter Malachi, senior vice president of communications.
JW Anderson names CEO
Jenny Galimberti has been appointed chief executive at JW Anderson, effective September 5. Galimberti joins the company from Louis Vuitton, where she held the role of senior vice president of global communications. Prior to that, she held different roles at Prada, Dunhill and Gucci.
Kering appoints president of Kering Greater China
Jinqing Cai has been appointed president of Kering Greater China, starting from September 10. Cai was most recently chairman of Christie's China. She will report to Jean-François Palus, group managing director of Kering, and will retain a consulting role at Christie's.

Gabriela Hearst taps CEO
Gabriela Hearst has named Giuseppe Giovannetti as its new chief executive. Giovannetti joined the brand in 2017 as a consultant and prior to that was chief executive at Tomas Maier. He will report to Gabriela Hearst's board of directors.
Louis Vuitton appoints SVP of communication and events
Stefano Cantino has been named senior vice president of communication and events at Louis Vuitton, reporting directly to chief executive Michael Burke. He joins the company from Prada, where he held the role of strategic marketing director for Miu Miu, Prada, Car Shoe and Church's.
Van Cleef & Arpels Americas names president & CEO
Helen King has been appointed president and chief executive of Van Cleef & Arpels, Americas. King first joined Van Cleef & Arpels Americas in 2003 as director of the South Coast Plaza boutique and eventually rose to senior vice president of retail for North America and Brazil.
