Louis Vuitton hires artistic director of watches and jewellery
Louis Vuitton has tapped Francesca Amfitheatrof as artistic director of watches and jewellery. Known for her work as head of the jewellery design team at Tiffany & Co. from 2013 until January 2018, Amfitheatrof is charged with creating the jewellery and high jewellery collections, and overseeing the label's timepieces.
Stuart Weitzman names CEO
Tapestry has named Eraldo Poletto as Stuart Weitzman's new chief executive and brand president. Poletto joins the company from Salvatore Ferragamo, where he has served as chief executive since 2010. Prior to this, he worked at Furla. He succeeds Wendy Kahn, who is leaving the company after a year and a half at the helm.
DVF appoints CEO
Sandra Campos was named chief executive of DVF, succeeding Paolo Riva, who departed in November 2016. She most recently served as co-president of women's apparel at Global Brands Group, overseeing brands including Juicy Couture, BCBG and Hervé Leger.
Marc Jacobs creative director of contemporary exits
John Targon has left his post as creative director of Marc Jacobs only three months after joining the brand to reboot its lower-priced product offering. Targon is also Baja East's co-founder and creative director.
Buro 24/7 announces CEO
The media company has appointed Nick Smith as chief executive and announced a relocation of its global headquarters to London. Smith joins Buro 24/7 from News Corp Australia, where he was prestige and lifestyle director, overseeing Vogue Australia and GQ Australia. He is charged with driving the group's operational activities and international expansion.
Trussardi creative director steps down
Gaia Trussardi has stepped down as creative director of Trussardi. She joined the family business in 2013 as creative director of Tru Trussardi, and succeeded Umit Benan Sahin at the helm of the main line in 2013. Trussardi will focus on personal work projects.
HBC appoints CMO
Bari Harlam has been appointed Hudson Bay Company's chief marketing officer, succeeding Milton Pappas, who has left the company. Harlam previously held senior roles at BJ's Wholesale, Swipely and CVS Health.
Reebok names vice president of marketing
Melanie Boulden was named vice president of marketing at Reebok, reporting directly to president Matt O'Toole. Boulden joins the company from Crayola, where she was senior vice president of global marketing. She has previously held senior roles at Kraft Foods and Henkel.
Burberry hires CCO
Burberry has appointed Gavin Haig as chief commercial officer in a newly created role, effective 23 April. Haig joins the company after a 4-year stint as chief executive of Belstaff. He previously held positions at Cartier, Alfred Dunhill and Wedgwood.
