NEW YORK, United States — Footwear maker Deckers said Tuesday that Connie Rishwain, the president of its Ugg and fashion and lifestyle brands, is leaving the company.

The company said Rishwain is stepping down to spend more time with her family and pursue other interests. She has been with the Ugg brand since Deckers Outdoor Corp. acquired it in 1995.

Ugg sheepskin boots have cycled in and out of fashion in more than 35 years on the market and slumped a few years ago when the company raised prices. They are Deckers' biggest-selling item by far, and sales are currently on the rise. The company says wholesale Ugg revenue has climbed 11 percent to about $816 million over its last three fiscal quarters. That's more than half its revenue over the same period.

Shares of Deckers Outdoor Corp. fell 75 cents to $73.99 on Tuesday, and they are down 19 percent in 2015. The stock slipped 9 cents to $73.90 in aftermarket trading.
