LONDON, United Kingdom — At the height of London Fashion Week, The Business of Fashion hosted a gala dinner and party at The London EDITION Hotel to celebrate the unveiling of the third annual #BoF500, a list of the most influential people shaping the global fashion industry.
Supported by QIC Global Real Estate, the launch coincided with the release of BoF's latest special print edition, which celebrates the #BoF500 and examines the topic of 'Reinvention.' The cover of the issue features an illustration of Gucci's chief executive officer Marco Bizzarri and creative director Alessandro Michele, created for BoF by artist and Instagram sensation Helen Downie aka @unskilledworker.
Downie also created the cover for a special print supplement, which was turned into a large mural at the event, featuring eight of the 103 additions to this year's BoF 500, including model Gigi Hadid, Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing and Instagram founder Kevin Systrom.
Guests at the gala included Natalie Massenet, Lisa Eldridge, Renzo Rosso, Federico Marchetti, Stefano Pilati and Tory Burch. Alexa Chung and Liu Wen mingled with Dree Hemingway and Leigh Lezark, while Linda Fargo, Lucky Blue Smith, Pierre-Yves Roussel, Gianvito Rossi, Tommy Hilfiger, Marco Bizzarri, Justin O'Shea and Veronika Heilbrunner filled Berners Tavern with an upbeat and communal energy.

Designers Christopher Kane, Roksanda Ilincic, Peter Pilotto, Burberry's Christopher Bailey, Gareth Pugh, Simone Rocha, Henry Holland and Mary Katrantzou, who had just presented their Spring/Summer 2016 collections at London Fashion Week also attended.
Post-dinner entertainment kicked off with DJ sets from Mademoiselle Yulia, Sink the Pink and Alpines. Dancers from the House of Lady Di jumped on the tables for some live vogueing, before guests filled the basement for a live performance by British singer-songwriter Shura.
