LONDON, United Kingdom – BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Gucci Confirms Creative Director
The Italian luxury brand has named Alessandro Michele as the successor to previous creative director Frida Giannini. Michele, 42, has been with Gucci since 2002. Until recently, he served as the associate to Giannini, who resigned in December along with CEO Patrizio di Marco, after eight years at the helm. Michele had previously worked with Giannini at Fendi as senior accessories designer. Michele will present his first womenswear show during Milan Fashion Week on February 25.

Anthony Vaccarello Joins Versus
Anthony Vaccarello has been appointed creative director at Versus, following his successful fall capsule collection for the Versace-owned label. The Paris-based designer will report to Donatella Versace, who remains in the role of artistic director. Vaccarello will be the label's first permanent creative director since Christopher Kane left in 2012. Vaccarello will unveil his first work as creative director during autumn/winter 2015.

José Luis Duran Exits Lacoste
José Luis Duran has stepped down as chief executive officer of Lacoste and will be replaced by the former chief of homeware retailer Conforama, Thierry Guibert, effective immediately. Prior to Conforama, Guibert spent the majority of his career at Kering, serving various roles including general director of Fnac between 2006 and 2008.

Chief operating officer Antoine Bing, who acted as temporary chairman, will stand down from his role early February.

Fairchild Names Vice Chairman

George, who begins her new role in February, joined WWD as a sales assistant in 1988, and eventually rose to become president of WWD and executive vice president of Fairchild. She left in 2001 to join Time Inc., where she was most recently executive vice president and chief marketing officer.

Adam Andrascik to Guy Laroche
Adam Andrascik has taken over as creative director of Guy Laroche, replacing Marcel Marongiu, who has held the role since 2007. Andrascik has been collaborating with Guy Laroche since October and will unveil his first collection for the label on March 4 during Paris Fashion Week. Meanwhile, his namesake brand, which debuted at Paris Fashion Week last September, will be put on hold.
