Carven Appoints Creative Director
Serge Ruffieux has been named creative director at Carven, effective February 1. His first collection will be shown during the Resort 2018 season. Ruffieux hails from Dior, where he led the house's design team under Raf Simons and held the position of co-artistic director between Simons' departure and Maria Grazia Chiuri's arrival.
Reed Krakoff Joins Tiffany & Co.
Tiffany & Co has appointed Reed Krakoff as chief artistic officer, a newly created position, effective February 1. Krakoff, who previously worked with Tiffany on the re-launch of its gifts, home and accessories collections, succeeds design director Francesca Amfitheatrof, who will leave the company after three and a half years in the role.
Condé Nast Executive Hires
Condé Nast has promoted two of its executive team members in a move to strengthen its leadership team. Wolfgang Blau, currently Condé Nast International’s digital operations head, will become president of the company on August 1, replacing Nicholas Coleridge. Coleridge's role as managing director of Condé Nast Britain will be assumed by Albert Read, currently deputing managing director. Additionally, Jamie Jouning, currently publisher of British Glamour, has been named digital director at Vogue.
Carolina Herrera Appoints President
Carolina Herrera's former chief marketing officer, Emilie Rubinfeld, has been named president of the Puig-owned fashion house. Rubinfeld joined Carolina Herrera in 2012, after stints at Giorgio Armani and Akris.
Barbara Kennedy Joins Donna Karan
G-III Apparel Group has appointed Barbara Kennedy as president of wholesale, design, merchandising and sales at Donna Karan. Most recently, she served as president of dresses at Ralph Lauren Corporation. Before that, she served as president of dresses at Jones Apparel Group.
Temperley London Hires CEO
Temperley London has promoted Patricia Sancho to chief executive officer, effective immediately. Sancho will continue to hold her role as president, a position she has held for the past year.
