Hearst UK appoints editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan

Hearst UK has announced that Claire Hodgson will replace Farrah Storr as editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan, with immediate effect. Hodgson was previously digital editorial director at the magazine. In her new position she will report into Cosmopolitan managing director Jacqui Cave, with a dotted reporting line to Betsy Fast, executive director of digital editorial strategy.

Former Condé Nast France head appointed general manager of Paris fashion school IFM

Xavier Romatet, who stepped down as president of Condé Nast France in March 2018, has been appointed general manager of Parisian fashion school Institut Français de la Mode (IFM). Starting August 26, Romatet replaces Dominique Jacomet, who will become advisor to the president of IFM.

Karl Lagerfeld taps Chloé veteran for sales director

Karl Lagerfeld has hired Nicolette Veendorp to lead sales for the brand, effective May 2019. Reporting to chief executive Pier Paolo Righi, she replaces Carlos Pallegrini, who held the position of sales director for six years. Veendorp is a veteran of Richemont-owned Chloé, where she was most recently wholesale commercial director for the brand and its diffusion line See by Chloé.

Fila names North America president

Fila North America has named Jennifer Estabrook president. Estabrook, who was previously chief operating officer of Fila North America, had been serving as acting president of the company following the death of Jon Epstein on February 15, 2019. She reports to Fila chairman Gene Yoon.

G-Star Raw names CMO

Denim brand G-Star Raw has named Gwenda van Vliet its new chief marketing officer, with immediate effect, joining the company from hosiery brand Wolford. Previous chief marketing officers for the brand include Thecla Schaeffer, who exited the company in May 2018.
