Delpozo names creative director
Delpozo has named Lutz Huelle its creative director. Huelle, who founded his own namesake brand in 2000, will oversee the company’s Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, taking over fully in time for Spring 2020. He most recently worked as a luxury fashion consultant and replaces Josep Font, who exited the company in September.
Deciem reappoints Stephen Kaplan
Stephen Kaplan, the former chief financial officer of Deciem, rejoined the company earlier this month as chief operating officer. Kaplan previously left the company in February 2018 amid a number of executive shake-ups.
Glossier president and CFO to step down
Henry Davis, president and chief financial officer of cosmetics brand Glossier, is departing effective December 31, 2018. He joined the company shortly after its founding, in June 2014. Nabil Mallick, a partner at Thrive Capital and Glossier board member, will serve as interim chief financial officer while the company searches for a full-time replacement.
Bloomingdale’s names new executive VP and general merchandise manager
Bloomingdale’s has appointed Denise Magid as executive vice president and general merchandise manager for ready-to-wear, bloomingdales.com and concessions, effective January 2, 2019. She replaces vice chairman and general merchandise manager Frank Doroff, who will stay on until retirement in February 2019. Magid joins the company from DVMagid Consulting, of which she is the founder.
Esprit taps product and brand officer
Esprit has appointed Mia Ouakim as its chief product and brand officer, a newly created role in which she will replace former chief product manager Rafael Pastor and former chief brand officer Rob McIntosh. Ouakim starts in her new role effective February 1, 2019 and joins the company from Tommy Hilfiger, where she was senior vice president for menswear and tailoring.
Asos names chief operating officer
Current supply chain director for Asos Mark Holland has been promoted to chief operating officer, a newly created position. Holland, who also sits on the company’s executive board, will report to chief executive Nick Beighton.
Safilo hires digital transformation officer
Safilo has hired Andrea Bulgarelli to fill the newly created role of digital transformation officer. Bulgarelli joins the company from Benetton, where he was group digital business director.
Nike creates new digital role
Nike has expanded the role of Nike Direct president Heidi O’Neill to include managing Nike digital products, services and member experiences, with immediate effect.
