Estée Lauder announces global brand leadership changes
Estée Lauder has confirmed executive changes at Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Bumble and Bumble and La Mer, effective July 1, 2017. Aveda’s global brand president Dominique Conseli has announced plans to retire and will be succeeded by Barbara De Laere. Bumble and Bumble and Bobbi Brown global brand president Peter Lichtenthal will retire in January 2018; Zach Rieken will succeed him at Bumble and Bumble, while Sandra Main, global brand president at La Mer, will expand her portfolio to include Bobbi Brown. Justin Boxford will assume Main’s previous role, senior vice president and global general manager at La Mer.
Dune hires from Ralph Lauren
The Dune Group has appointed Rob Silsbury as e-commerce and marketing director, a newly created role. Silsbury joins the British footwear company from Ralph Lauren, where he served as senior director of marketing and e-commerce and interim senior vice president of digital and e-commerce. He will report directly to chief executive John Egan.
Condé Nast appoints head of commercial content
Tristan Taylor will take up the newly created head of branded commercial content role at Condé Nast UK, effective immediately. Previously channel partnership strategist at AOL advertising, Taylor has also worked at Channel 5, The Telegraph Media Group and News International.
Hearst names associate fashion editors
The media group has appointed Shalaeya Brown and Samantha Roman as associate fashion editors across women’s titles Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Redbook, Good Housekeeping and Woman's Day. Brown previously served as Heart’s fashion marketing assistant, while Roman was the company’s assistant fashion editor.
Wolford creative director steps down
Grit Seymour has stepped down as creative director of Wolford, citing personal reasons. She joined the hosiery company in October 2014 as part of the Austrian label’s brand identity development strategy. Prior to her creative directorship, Seymour had held design roles at Donna Karan, Max Mara and Hugo Boss.
Advance names strategy and development officer
Janine McGrath Shelffo will join Advance Publications later this year as chief strategy and development officer, a newly created role. She is currently the co-head of technology, media and telecom in the Americas at UBS.
Bruno Magli hires from Calvin Klein
Bruno Magli confirms Scott Prentice will rejoin the company as its North American President. He previously helmed the Italian company in a similar role from 1995 to 2005, before moving on to take up an executive position at Bally. Most recently Prentice held an executive role at Calvin Klein.
