Kate Lewis Succeeds Joanna Coles at Hearst Magazines
Hearst Magazines chief content officer Joanna Coles has stepped down after 12 years with the company. She is succeeded by senior vice president and editorial director Kate Lewis. Lewis joined Hearst Magazines Digital Media as vice president of content operations and editorial director in 2014. Her promotion closely follows Troy Young's appointment as president of the publishing company.
Shopbop hires brand president
Shira Suveyke has joined Shopbop as brand president, overseeing the marketing, creative, buying and planning teams. Suveyke has over 20 years of experience in international retail operations and has held executive leadership positions at Yoox Net-A-Porter, Gilt Groupe and J. Crew. She will report directly to Shopbop chief executive Kim Fleissner.
Harper's Bazaar Australia editor-in-chief resigns
Kellie Hush is stepping down as editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar Australia to launch her own retail business. Previously, Hush worked as fashion editor of The Sydney Morning Herald and editor-in-chief of Grazia. September 2018 is her last issue for the magazine.
Rag & Bone names CEO
Rag & Bone's Marcus Wainwright is stepping down as chief executive of the ready-to-wear label he founded in 2002, naming Nike veteran Stefanie Strack to the top position effective September 10. Wainwright will take on the title of chief brand officer, overseeing the creative direction of the brand.
HBC director steps down
Board member Denise Pickett has resigned as a director of Hudson's Bay Company to focus on her responsibilities at American Express. Her successor has not yet been named.
