LONDON, United Kingdom – BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

House of Fraser CEO Steps Down
British department store chain House of Fraser has promoted current chief operating officer Nigel Oddy to CEO, succeeding former chief John King. After eight years at the helm of the company, King will step into the role of non-executive director on the House of Fraser board. Oddy has over 35 years of experience in the retail sector. Peter Gross takes Oddy's place as chief operating officer.

Kenneth Cole Names CEO
American fashion label Kenneth Cole has named Marc Schneider as chief executive officer, effective Monday. Schneider will be responsible for the retail, e-commerce, international, licensing and wholesale aspects of the business. Most recently, he was group president of Heritage Brands at PVH Corp. The role of chief executive has been vacant since Paul Blum departed in 2012.

Bottega Veneta Names Worldwide Communication Director
Italian luxury goods company Bottega Veneta has appointed Olivier Monteil as worldwide communication director, effective immediately. Monteil joins the company from Hermès International, where he was director of communication for the métiers. Based in Lugano, Switzerland, he will report directly to Bottega Veneta's CEO Carlo Alberto Beretta and creative director Tomas Maier.

Condé Nast Digital Announces Promotions
Condé Nast Digital has promoted former editor of Vogue.co.uk, Dolly Jones, to the position of digital strategy editor, effective March 1. Jones will be succeeded by the website's deputy editor Lucy Hutchings, who is currently acting editor of Vogue.co.uk. In the newly created role, Jones will be responsible for shaping online editorial and commercial strategy across the Condé Nast portfolio.

Frederic Laffort Joins Safilo
Italian eyewear creator and distributor Safilo Group has appointed Frederic Laffort as its UK and Ireland country manager. Previously, Laffort spent 16 years at Proctor and Gamble in senior regional roles across Europe and Asia.
