This week, InStyle has named Laura Brown as editor-in-chief, and La Perla appointed Julia Haart as creative director.

LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Laura Brown Joins InStyle
InStyle has appointed Laura Brown as editor-in-chief, effective August 29. She succeeds Ariel Foxman, who left the publication in July after eight years at the helm. Brown joins InStyle from Harpers Bazaar, where she was executive editor, special projects.

La Perla Names Creative Director
La Perla has appointed Julia Haart as creative director. Haart, who succeeds Pedro Lourenço, will debut a women's ready-to-wear collection during the Spring/Summer 2017 season, expanding upon the brand's core lingerie and swimwear offering. Before joining as creative director, Haart worked on La Perla's accessories collections for the past two seasons.

Forever 21 Hires CFO
Michael W. Kramer has joined Forever 21 as chief financial officer, succeeding Elizabeth Jain. Kramer brings 20 years of retail experience, having previously held positions including chief operating officer at J.C. Penney and chief financial officer at Abercrombie and Fitch.

Central Saint Martins Appoints Leader of BA
Central Saint Martins has promoted Sarah Gresty to lead the school's BA fashion course, succeeding Willie Walters, who directed the course for 24 years. Gresty, who joined CSM as an associate lecturer in 1998, was previously pathway leader of fashion design with knitwear.

Marie France Van Damme Hires VIP Manager
Swimwear brand Marie France Van Damme has appointed Claude-Alain Descamps as its first VIP relations manager. Descamps, who will be based in Hong Kong, was previously VIP relations manager and head of personal shopping at MyTheresa.
