LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Macy's Appoints Jeffrey Gennette President
Jeffery Gennette was appointed president of Macy's Inc, the United States' largest department store group on Monday 31st March. Gennette previously held the role of chief merchandising officer at the department store group. "Jeff has had all of merchandising, all of marketing, all of macys.com, now he will have the Macy's Merchandising Group [MMG] reporting to him as well. It's a big job, the second largest job in the company after me," said Macy's chairman and chief executive Terry Lundgren.

Francesco Trapani Appointed Executive Vice Chairman at Clessidra
Francesco Trapani has joined Italian private equity firm Clessidra as executive vice chairman. On March 1st, Trapani exited his position as chairman of LVMH's watches and jewellery division, a role he took up following LVMH's acquisition of Bulgari, where he was chief executive, helping to transform the jewellery house from a small firm to a global brand with an annual turnover of over one billion euros. Last year, Clessidra bought a 70 percent stake in Milanese jewellery firm Buccellati and, more recently, entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Italian menswear clothing company Harmont & Blaine SpA.

Jim Gold Named President at Neiman Marcus
Jim Gold has been appointed president and chief merchandising officer of Neiman Marcus, as the Dallas-based retailer prepares to integrate its brick-and-mortar and online teams. "We are one brand to our customers. Our customers do not differentiate between channels and, now, neither will we. These changes allow us to operate as one single Neiman Marcus brand and to make sure we anticipate all of our customers' needs," said Karen Katz, president and chief executive officer of the Neiman Marcus Group. Previously Gold, who joined Neiman Marcus in 1991, held the role of president of specialty retail.

Bally Taps Anne-Marie Gaultier
Anne-Marie Gaultier will join Bally on 14th April to lead global marketing and communications. Gaultier comes to Bally from Groupe Galeries Lafayette, where she was marketing and communications director. "Anne-Marie has true global luxury experience and has identified and compared the marketing strategies of most luxury and fashion brands. She is a brilliant expert at CRM and customer experience. She is the right person to create a fresh vision for Bally," said chief executive Frédéric de Narp. Gaultier's appointment comes as Labelux, Bally's owners, have increased their focus on the brand. "Anne-Marie joining Bally is strengthening our brand's executive leadership, making it ready to drive the company to the next level," De Narp added.

Helen Wright and Jesus Samper Velasco at Karl Lagerfeld
Helen Wright is joining Karl Lagerfeld as global vice president of retail. Previously, she was at LVMH in the role of general manager of Northern Europe and president of Fendi Europe, Middle East and India. Jesus Samper Velasco is joining Karl Lagerfeld as global vice president of product and merchandising. Previously, he was at Inditex, where he was product director. "This is an exciting moment for our company as we welcome both Helen and Jesus to the Karl Lagerfeld family," said Pier Paolo Righi, chief executive of Karl Lagerfeld.
