LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Max Azria joins LA tech start-up
ZappLight, an Los Angeles-based start-up that manufactures a combination LED light bulb and bug deterrent, has named Max Azria as its chief executive and partner. This is the first major appointment for the BCBG Max Azria Group founder since he stepped down as chief executive of the company after the California-based fashion house filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year.

Amazon Fashion names president
Christine Beauchamp will succeed former Amazon Fashion president Cathy Beaudoin after she exited the company in April. Beauchamp, who has previously held executive positions at Victoria's Secret, Ann Taylor and, most recently, Ralph Lauren, is currently a senior adviser at Boston Consulting Group.

Hugo Boss names CFO
Hugo Boss has appointed Yves Müller as chief financial officer, effective January 1, 2018. Müller will join the German fashion house from coffee company Tchibo, where he has served on the management board as finance chief since 2006. He will succeed Mark Langer, who was promoted from chief financial officer to chief executive in May of last year.

Neiman Marcus appoints new interim CFO
The department store company confirmed that interim chief financial and operating officer Michael Fung will step down at the end of June. While the Neiman Marcus Group searches for a permanent CFO, current senior vice president and chief accounting officer Dale Stapleton will take over the role.

Condé Nast China president steps down
Liz Schimel has resigned as president of Condé Nast China after four years at the helm. She will be succeeded by Sophia Liao on June 1. Liao has been with the company for 16 years, and most recently served as managing director of Condé Nast Taiwan.

Nordstrom hires vice president
Gigi Ganatra Duff has been named Nordstrom's vice president of public relations and corporate affairs. Duff, who joins the company from real estate development and capital investment firm Lionheart Capital, succeeds Brook White, who retired from the company last year.

David Yurman chief executive steps down
Chief executive Gabriella Forte will exit David Yurman Inc. on June 1 after two years at the helm. While the family-owned company searches for Forte's successor, its eyponymous chairman David Yurman will act as interim chief executive.

Royal College of Art hires Chancellor
London's Royal College of Art has appointed Apple's chief design officer Sir Jony Ive as its new chancellor, an honorary role previously known as provost. Ive will serve a five-year term, effective July 2017. He succeeds Sir James Dyson, founder of Dyson Company.
