Polimoda names Massimiliano Giornetti head of fashion design
Florence-based fashion school Polimoda has appointed Massimiliano Giornetti, former creative director of Salvatore Ferragamo, to lead its fashion design department, effective at the start of the upcoming semester.
Victoria Beckham names CFO
Victoria Beckham Ltd has appointed Pablo Sande chief financial officer, starting with immediate effect and replacing Katie Cavanagh. Sande joins the company from his role as CFO of Salvatore Ferragamo in the Americas. He reports to Ralph Toledano, who was named chief executive last week following Paolo Riva’s departure.
Harrods CMO to exit
Amanda Hill, chief marketing and customer officer at Harrods, will be leaving the company in November, after 18 months in the role, due to family commitments.
Ralph Lauren president of global brands departs
Valérie Hermann will step down as president of global brands at Ralph Lauren after three years in the role, effective September 30.
Carlos Costa and Violeta Andic leave Mango
Mango Chief Operations Officer Carlos Costa is stepping down from his role, which he has held since 2013, as is Violeta Andic, the eponymous director of the brand’s plus-size label Violeta. Costa plans to work on a personal project following his departure, while Andic, whose father and uncle founded the company in 1984, is leaving after 12 years at the company for personal reasons.
Old Navy appoints president and chief creative officer
Gap Inc. has appointed Nancy Green to the newly created role of president and chief creative officer of Old Navy, effective early August. Green, who will report to Old Navy President and Chief Executive Sonia Syngal, was previously president of brand stablemate Athleta.
