LONDON, United Kingdom – BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Sarah Rutson to Net-a-Porter
Sarah Rutson, longtime fashion director of Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, has joined womenswear e-tailer Net-a-Porter as vice president of global buying. She joins the luxury retailer's New York offices, effective Jan 12, and will report to Alison Loehnis, president of Net-a-Porter. Rutson worked with Lane Crawford for over two decades, and was responsible for creating the women's contemporary department, among other initiatives.

Mulberry Names Julie Gilhart Non-Executive Director
British luxury label Mulberry has named Julie Gilhart to the company board as non-executive director. Gilhart is a freelance fashion consultant who has advised clients including Amazon, Tory Burch and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Prior to that, she spent 18 years at Barneys New York. Her appointment comes the week after the label appointed Johnny Coca as its new creative director.

Coach Expands Europe Team
American leather goods brand Coach is strengthening its European arm with two key appointments focused on driving retail strategy and wholesale operations across Europe. Fabrizio Stroppa has been tapped as vice president for wholesale partnerships, and Sadie Tew as vice president of retail and customer experience. Stroppa was previously commercial director at Hunter and Sadie Tew joins Coach from Michael Kors, where she was vice president of European retail.

The Times Appoints Fashion Director
British daily national newspaper The Times has tapped Anna Murphy as its new fashion director, effective January 28. Murphy, who is currently editor of The Sunday Telegraph's supplement Stella, succeeds Laura Craik who joined the title in 2011. Following Craik's departure in September this year, deputy fashion editor at the title Carolyn Asome took over as acting fashion editor.

Fashion GPS Taps Sales Director, APAC
Known for providing management and digital event technology for fashion brands and PR agencies, Fashion GPS has appointed Wilson Mak as its new director of sales for the Asia-Pacific region, as it opens new office in Hong Kong that will service Fashion GPS clients in the APAC region, such as Burberry, Christian Dior, Karla Otto, and Sass & Bide. Previously, Mak was regional director at Data Systems International.
