Scotch & Soda names CMO
Scotch & Soda has appointed Ralph Rijks as its new chief marketing officer. In his new role he will lead the marketing department to further grow the Dutch fashion brand. He joins the company from Heineken USA, where he served as senior vice president.
Kate Spade appoints CEO
Tapestry has hired Anna Bakst as chief executive and brand president of Kate Spade. Most recently, Bakst was group president of accessories and footwear at Michael Kors. She succeeds Craig Leavitt, who exited the brand in 2017 following Tapestry’s acquisition of the brand.
Virgil Abloh joins Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton has tapped Off-White founder Virgil Abloh as its new artistic director of menswear. He succeeds Kim Jones, who departed the French luxury house in January.
Condé Nast Britain hires communications director
Emily Hallie has been named communications director at Condé Nast Britain. Hallie previously worked at Diageo as part of its communications team. She succeeds Nicky Eaton who leaves the British publisher after 13 years.
VF Corporation names vice president, strategic projects
Steve Murray will fill the newly created role of vice president, strategic projects at VF Corporation. Murray, who was previously president of VF Corporation’s Vans brand from 2004 to 2009, joins from Airwair International, Dr Martens. He has also worked at Urban Outfitters and Reebok International.
