Stuart Weitzman Steps Down
Stuart Weitzman is stepping down as creative director of his eponymous label, after nearly 30 years. Weitzman will become chairman, while Giovanni Morelli will take over his previous role. Morelli comes from Loewe, where he was leather goods design director since March 2015. He previously designed for Burberry, Marc Jacobs and Chloé.
Buscemi Appoints CEO
Buscemi has appointed Rebecca Damavandi as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Damavandi comes with 20 years of experience working at brands such as Vince, where she was most recently group president of global business development.
Zimmermann Names President
Zimmermann has tapped Karin Gregersen McLennan as president. Gregersen McLennan, who will be based in New York, was previously president and chief creative officer of Vince. Prior to that, she was executive vice president and managing director for Chloé.
Tory Burch Hires VP of Public Relations
Nacole Snoep has been named as vice president of public relations at Tory Burch. Snoep comes with 15 years of experience at Calvin Klein, most recently as senior vice president, public relations and celebrity. Previously, she worked at Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta and Ralph Lauren.
Lyst Appoints VP of Communications
Lyst has appointed Rory Scott as vice president of communications, to lead strategy and campaigns in America, Lyst's principal market. Scott was formerly head of PR at betting and entertainment company Paddy Power.
Thread Names Business Development Managers
Laura Southern and Grace Baker have joined Thread as business development managers. Southern joins from Topman where, as menswear buying manager, she introduced over 60 brands. Baker was previously head of merchandising and brand development at MiH Jeans.
