Vejas Kruszewski named Pihakapi’s creative director
New leather brand Pihakapi has appointed Vejas Kruszewski as its creative director. Kruszewski received a special award from the LVMH Prize jury in 2016. His first unisex collection for Pihakapi will debut at men’s fashion week Autumn/Winter 2018 in Paris.
Burberry’s board appointment
Burberry has appointed Orna Ni-Chionna to its board as a non-executive director and member of the Remuneration Committee. Currently senior independent director at Saga and Royal Mail, as well as deputy chairman at the National Trust, she also co-led McKinsey & Company for two decades. She succeeds Fabiola Arredondo, who is stepping down from the board to focus on other commitments.
Phoebe Philo exits Céline
Céline creative director Phoebe Philo is leaving the house after its Autumn 2018 presentation, after 10 years in the role. She informed her team in December. Her next move has not yet been confirmed.
DVF names chief design officer
DVF has named Nathan Jenden as its new chief design officer and vice president, creative. He succeeds Jonathan Saunders, who resigned as the brand’s chief creative in December 2017. Jenden is a DVF veteran, returning to the brand where he worked for 10 years until 2011.
