Power Moves | Victoria Beckham Names CEO, Benji B as Louis Vuitton's Music Director

This week, Paolo Riva joins Victoria Beckham as chief executive, while Virgil Abloh names Benji B as music director for Louis Vuitton.

LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Victoria Beckham appoints CEO
Paolo Riva has been named chief executive of Victoria Beckham, starting in September 2018. He joins the company after 16 years of leadership experience at brands including Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino and Tory Burch. Most recently, Riva was chief executive at Diane Von Furstenberg.

Louis Vuitton announces music director
Virgil Abloh has named Benji B as Louis Vuitton's first musical director. Benji B has worked as a radio DJ and was previously musical director for Phoebe Philo at Céline. He has also worked as a producer for Kanye West, notably on the track "Fade" from album "Life of Pablo."

Puma appoints creative head of basketball operations
Rapper, producer and entrepreneur Jay-Z has joined Puma as creative head of basketball operations. He will consult on product creation and marketing strategy. The appointment is the latest in a series of celebrity ambassadors for Puma, which have included Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd.

Acne taps global communications director.
Acne has named Edouard Schneider as global communications director and head of its Paris division, effective June 11. Schneider was previously head of press and public relations at Louis Vuitton. He will report to chief executive officer Mattias Magnusson and director of marketing and image Lotta Nilsson.

J. Crew names chief design officer
J. Crew has tapped Johanna Uurasjarvi as its chief design officer, responsible for the design direction of the brand. Uurasjarvi will replace Somsack Sikhounmuong, who left in September. She joins the company from West Elm, where she held the role of creative director.

Rochas announces creative director of men's ready-to-wear
Federico Curradi has been appointed creative director of Rochas menswear and will show his first collection during the Autumn/Winter 2019 season. Curradi has previously worked creative director of Iceberg and most recently as creative director of his own line.

Bottega Veneta appoints creative director
Bottega Veneta has appointed Daniel Lee as its new creative director. He succeeds Tomas Maier, who departed after 17 years in the role. Lee, joins the company from Céline, where he was director of ready-to-wear. He begins in the position on July 1.
