Ferdinando Verderi named Vogue Italia creative director
Following the departure of Giovanni Bianco late last month, Vogue Italia has announced Ferdinando Verderi its new creative director. Verderi, a founding member of advertising agency Johannes Leonardo, most recently worked with Donatella Versace on repositioning the Versace brand. His first issue for Vogue Italia will launch in July 2019.
Elle UK names editor-in-chief

Hearst UK has appointed Cosmopolitan editor-in-chief Farrah Storr as editor-in-chief of Elle UK, with immediate effect. Storr replaces Anne-Marie Curtis, who stepped down after two years at the helm of the publication. She reports to Elle managing director Jacqui Cave, with a dotted reporting line to Betsy Fast, executive director of digital editorial strategy.
Refinery29 taps Teen Vogue for deputy fashion director
Teen Vogue fashion features editor Jessica Andrews has been hired as deputy fashion director at Refinery29, with immediate effect. In this newly created role, Andrews reports to co-founder and editor-in-chief Christene Barberich.
The Cut names Jane Larkworthy beauty editor-at-large
Jane Larkworthy, former executive beauty director of W Magazine and beauty columnist at the Cut, has been appointed the Cut's beauty editor-at-large. Starting with immediate effect, she reports to Stella Bugbee, president and editor-in-chief, and replaces Linda Wells.
Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association announces first female head
One of Bangladesh’s largest garment worker associations has elected Rubana Huq as its leader. Huq, the first woman to hold this position, is managing director of the world’s second-largest garment exporter Mohammadi Group, which supplies to H&M and Primark, among other brands.
The Webster names CEO, chief brand officer

Luxury retailer The Webster has promoted president Laurent Malecaze to the role of chief executive and appointed Stephane Jaspar to the newly created role of chief brand officer. Jaspar joins the company from Stella McCartney, where he was most recently chief marketing officer. Both will report to founder and creative director Laure Heriard-Dubreuil.
Lindsay Page confirmed as Ted Baker CEO
Ted Baker interim chief executive Lindsay Page — formerly chief financial officer and chief operating officer — has been appointed to the role on a permanent basis. Page replaces Ray Kelvin, who stepped down following allegations of misconduct that precipitated an independent investigation of the company.
Caroline Brown joins Closed Loop Partners
Sustainability investment firm Closed Loop Partners has named Caroline Brown managing director, effective April 22. In this newly created role, she will report to founder and chief executive Ron Gonen. Brown, who stepped down as chief executive of Donna Karan in December 2016, also sits on advisory boards for the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, skincare start-up Atolla and ethical e-commerce company Fashionkind.
Baume & Mercier names CEO
Amid a series of executive changes, Richemont-owned watchmaker Baume & Mercier has appointed David Chaumet chief executive. Starting earlier this month, he replaces Geoffroy Lefebvre, who exited the company after less than a year in the role starting June 2018. Chaumet joins the company from Baume & Mercier stablemate Roger Dubois, where he was senior managing director Asia Pacific and specialist brand watch-maker for the Hong Kong-Macao region.
