Estée Lauder appoints global beauty director
Estée Lauder has tapped French makeup artist and influencer Violette as its new global beauty director. As part of her role, Violette — who enjoys a significant social media following and has previously consulted for Dior and La Mer — will be creating content for Estée Lauder’s Instagram and YouTube channels. She succeeds Tom Pecheux, who left to join YSL Beauté earlier this year.
Changes to Burberry’s directorate board
Burberry has announced changes to its board of directors: non-executive director Jeremy Darroch will succeed Philip Bouwman as senior independent director, effective July 1. Darroch will be responsible for finding a successor to long-time chairman Sir John Peace, who will step down in the near future. Luxury retail expert Ron Frasch has also been appointed to the board, effective September 1. Frasch, a partner at private equity firm Castanea, previously served as vice-chairman, president and chief merchandising officer of Saks Fifth Avenue.
Marco de Vincenzo appoints CEO
Renato Munafò has been appointed chief executive of accessories label Marco de Vincenzo, effective immediately. Munafò joins the company from the commercial division of LVMH-owned Fendi, where de Vincenzo has been designing accessories for the past 17 years.
Avon names COO
Avon has appointed Jonathan Myers executive vice president and chief operating officer, effective September 1. Most recently Myers served as Kellogg's vice president; prior to that he spent 20 years at Procter & Gamble. His appointment is the latest in a series of leadership changes as the cosmetics company plans to “accelerate the next chapter of the transformation journey.”
Tiger of Sweden appoints CEO
Hans-Christian Meyer has been named as Tiger of Sweden’s incoming chief executive, effective September 1. He joins the Scandinavian brand from Ralph Lauren, where is currently president of retail, EMEA. The announcement closely follows the appointment of Christoffer Lundman as head of creative and design.
Caruso hires from Louis Vuitton
Real estate development company Caruso, whose portfolio includes retail malls The Grove and The Americana at Brand, has tapped Nancy Murray as executive vice president of communications. Murray joins the business from Louis Vuitton Americas, where she served for six years as senior vice president of communications; she has also held executive positions at PepsiCo and Ralph Lauren.
Stitch Fix names CFO
Stitch Fix has named Paul Yee as chief financial officer, succeeding Michelle Weaver who left the personal styling service last year. Yee joins from People Against Dirty where he served as global CFO; prior to that he held roles at Gap and Old Navy.
Vogue Italia appoints fashion-editor-at-large
Patti Wilson has been named as editor-at-large of Vogue Italia, effective July 1. Wilson — who has collaborated with a number of high-profile photographers including Steven Klein, Inez and Vinoodh and Steven Meisel — has worked for a number of titles including Vogue Italia, W, Vogue Germany and V Magazine.
