Maureen Chiquet nominated to Canada Goose board
Former Chanel chief executive Maureen Chiquet has been nominated for election to the Canada Goose board of directors; her candidacy will be submitted to the Canadian brand's annual general meeting in Toronto on August 15.

Tomas Maier names CEO
Laurent Claquin, currently head of Kering Americas, will take on the additional role of chief executive at Tomas Maier, effective immediately. The executive succeeds Giuseppe Giovannetti, who left the French conglomerate last week after almost three years at the helm.

Karren Brady to chair Arcadia's parent firm
Baroness Karren Brady has been appointed chairman of Sir Philip Green's Taveta Investments, the company that controls retail giant Arcadia. She succeeds Lord Anthony Grabiner, who held the position for 15 years. Brady takes over as chair as the business attempts to bounce back from the collapse of Arcadia-owned BHS.

Topshop hires from Burberry
Paul Price has been appointed chief executive at Topshop/Topman, effective September 4. He joins the British high street brand from Burberry where he is currently serving as chief merchandising officer, a role he has held for almost ten years. Price, who began his retail career at Bloomingdale's, has also held senior positions at Lucky Brand Jeans and Banana Republic.

Massimo Nicosia exits Pringle of Scotland
Pringle of Scotland's menswear design director Massimo Nicosia has resigned from his role after seven years with the company; his last collection for the brand was Spring 2018. Fran Stringer will continue in her role as women's design director, while Nicosia's team will oversee the label's Autumn/Winter 2018 collection.

Tiffany & Co. SVP steps down
Tiffany & Co.'s senior vice president of North America, Jennifer de Winter, has exited the jewellery house. She will be succeeded by Philippe Galtié, who will take up de Winter's responsibilities in addition to his existing role as senior vice president of international. The news of de Winter's departure comes a week after the jewellery house named Alessandro Bogliolo its new chief executive.

Macy's appoints off-price SVP
Macy's Inc. has promoted Michelle Israel to senior vice president of off-price divisions, where she will oversee Macy's Backstage and Bloomingdales' The Outlet. She succeeds interim off-price SVP Tim Baxter, who stepped in after Vanessa LeFebvre left the company in May.

Luxottica head of retail joins LVMH
Nicola Brandolese, the former head of retail at Italian eyewear maker Luxottica, has joined LVMH, spending an initial period at Fendi before taking up an undisclosed chief executive role early next year. The move comes as the luxury conglomerate prepares for the eventual succession of Dior chief executive Sidney Toledano and LVMH deputy chief executive Antonio Belloni, both of whom are in their mid-sixties.
