GQ appoints fashion director
British GQ has named Luke Day as fashion director, a role he will fulfil in tandem with his duties as GQ Style editor. Esquire style director Teo van den Broeke will also join British GQ in the new year as style and grooming director, while Elgar Johnson will fill the role of deputy editor at GQ Style.
Macy's appoints executive chairman
Terry Lundgren, executive chairman at Macy's Inc, will retire at the end of January 2018. The board has chosen company chief executive Jeff Gennette to succeed him. Following Lundgren's retirement, the Macy's Inc board will have 10 directors.
Harper's Bazaar editor joins Walpole board
British Harper's Bazaar and Town & Country editor-in-chief Justine Picardie has been appointed to Walpole board. Philippe Warney, Estee Lauder Companies' senior vice president and general manager UK & Ireland, and Mark Harvey, managing director at British winemaker Chapel Down, will also join the board.

Mr Porter names editorial director
Mr Porter has promoted Adam Welch to editorial director, effective February 1, 2018. Welch joined the e-commerce channel as deputy editor in 2014; prior to that he served as editor-in-chief at Wonderland magazine. He succeeds Andrew Barker and will report to content director Jeremy Langmead.
Holly Fulton named head of fashion at Cambridge School
Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts has appointed British designer Holly Fulton its new head of fashion. Fulton has been involved in the education sector for over 15 years, and for the past two years she has been a global ambassador for Graduate Fashion Week. She also serves as a visiting lecturer at a number of schools, including the Royal College of Art, Kingston University and Ravensbourne.
