Macy's Names Jeff Gennette CEO
Jeff Gennette is set to succeed Terry J. Lundgren as chief executive officer of Macy's Inc in the first quarter of 2017. Lundgren, who has been chief executive officer since 2003 and chairman since 2004, will remain chairman. Gennette has been president of the retailer since 2014.
Michael Kors Executive Promotions
Michael Kors Holdings has promoted two senior executives. Philippa Newman, currently senior vice president of European sales and merchandising, accessories, footwear and men's and women's ready-to-wear at the company, has been named president of accessories and footwear. Michele Chan, currently senior vice president of retail merchandising, has been named president of women's ready-to-wear.
Amazon India Hires Arun Sidreshmukh
Arun Sirdeshmukh has been appointed head of Amazon India's fashion portfolio, succeeding Vikas Purohit who exited the e-commerce company last September. Sirdeshmukh co-founded online retailing venture company Fashionara and previously worked at Reliance Retail.

Scotch & Soda Appoints CFO
Scotch & Soda has named Geert van Iwaarden chief financial officer. Van Iwaarden joins the Dutch fashion retailer from Unilever, where he has worked since 1991, most recently as chief financial officer for Unilever in Mexico and the Greater Caribbean.
WWD Appoints Style Director
Women's Wear Daily has promoted Alex Badia from sittings director and men's fashion director to the newly created role of style director. In his new role at the publication, Badia will be responsible for overseeing all shoots for men's and women's fashion, accessories and beauty.
