LONDON, United Kingdom — BoF compiles the most important professional moves of the week.

Fédération Française De La Couture Names Executive President
The Fédération Française De La Couture, Du Prêt-à-Porter Des Couturiers Et Des Créateurs De Mode has appointed Pascal Morand executive president, effective January 2016. Morand will oversee the three Chambre Syndicales for haute couture, menswear and ready-to-wear. Morand previously served as deputy director general of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris Region and as director general of Institut Français de la Mode. He succeeds Stéphane Wargnier, who will become advisor to the federation's president, Ralph Toledano.

John Varvatos Names CEO
Mark Brashear has been named chief executive officer of John Varvatos Enterprises, effective immediately. He succeeds Cristiano Quieti, who departed the company last month. Brashear was formerly president of menswear at Michael Kors and Faconnable. Prior to that, he served as chairman and chief executive of Hugo Boss, Americas for over five years.

American Eagle Outfitters Appoints CEO
American Eagle Outfitters has appointed Jay Schottenstein as chief executive officer, effective immediately. Schottenstein has served as interim chief executive officer since January 2014, following the abrupt resignation of former CEO Robert Hanson. Schottenstein has served as chairman of the teen apparel company since March 1992, and previously held the role of chief executive from March 1992 until December 2002.

Glossybox Founder Steps Down
Charles von Abercron, founder of Glossybox, is stepping down from his position as chief executive officer on December 31, after five years in the role. From January 2016, the new chief executive officer will be Dr Caren Genthner-Kappesz, who was previously CEO of e-commerce sites Takealot.com and MIH Internet Africa.

Birchbox Names President
Birchbox, the online beauty subscription service, has named Philippe Pinatel as its first president and chief operating officer. Pinatel joins the company after nearly 20 years at Sephora, where he was senior vice president of Sephora Canada and general manager of Sephora concessions at J.C. Penney. Additionally, Ben Fay, who led retail store design at Apple and J.C. Penney, joins Birchbox as vice president of retail development and customer experience.

Grazia Appoints Fashion Director
Rebecca Lowthorpe has been named fashion director of Grazia UK, succeeding Susannah Frankel, who left the magazine to become editor-in-chief at AnOther Magazine. Lowthorpe, who is currently assistant editor at Elle UK, will take up her new role in January 2016.
