Power Moves | Carolina Herrera VP of Design, Haider Ackermann to Berluti

This week, Haider Ackermann has joined Berluti as creative director, and Carolina Herrera appointed Raffaele Ilardo as vice president of design.

Berluti Names Haider Ackermann Creative Director
Haider Ackermann has joined Berluti as creative director, succeeding Alessandro Sartori, who in February joined Ermenegildo Zegna as artistic director. Ackermann's first collection for Berluti will be Autumn/Winter 2017, shown during Paris men's fashion week in January.

Carolina Herrera Appoints VP of Design
Carolina Herrera has appointed Raffaele Ilardo vice president of design, two weeks before the brand's catwalk presentation. Ilardo comes from Maison Margiela, where he was creative advisor and director of the atelier under John Galliano. Before that, he served in the same role at Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior Couture and Chanel.

David's Bridal CEO Steps Down
After three years, Pam Wallack has left her post as chief executive officer at David's Bridal. She is succeeded by the company's chairman, Paul Pressler, who previously served as president of Walt Disney's retail division and chief executive officer of Gap Inc.

Galeries Lafayette Hires Marketing and Digital Director
Constance de Polignac has been appointed marketing and digital director of Galeries Lafayette and BHV Marais, effective immediately. Previously, de Polignac was marketing and digital director for French womenswear retailer Camaïeu.

Tom Mora Joins Cole Haan
Cole Haan has hired former J. Crew designer Tom Mora as creative director of womenswear, effective immediately. Mora has previously held positions at Ralph Lauren and Coach.

Ward to Remain at Harrods
Michael Ward, managing director of Harrods, will remain in his position, having resigned in March. Ward, who earlier this year was named chairman of Walpole, has been with Harrods for over a decade.
