Vogue Italia editor Emanuele Farneti exits amid Condé Nast consolidation. Franca Sozzani’s successor announced on Thursday that he will step down from the fashion title after finishing the September issue. His departure follows that of many of his Vogue and GQ editor-in-chief counterparts, including leaders in Germany, Spain and India, as well as the exit of Condé Nast Italia editorial director Luca Dini last autumn.
Wil Beedle departs AllSaints after 18 years. Beedle, who held the role of chief creative director at AllSaints for a decade, is leaving the British fashion retailer to focus on Shoreditch Ski Club, the sustainability-centred winter clothing brand he launched in 2018. In addition to overseeing design, Beedle also introduced accessories and fragrances during his time at AllSaints.
Vogue China names Audrey Hu fashion director. The stylist joins from Huasheng Media’s Wallpaper China, where she also served as fashion director, and will succeed Yoyo Yao who left the title in April, according to WWD. The title also announced Dazed China fashion director Alvin Yu will join the youth-focused vertical VogueMe as fashion director.
De Beers Group consolidates brand leadership. The company announced that the head of its flagship jewellery brand, Céline Assimon, will also lead its De Beers Forevermark business — a move that’s part of the Group’s strategy to streamline its brand portfolio. Assimon was appointed chief executive of De Beers Jewellery in September 2020 and will take the helm of the De Beers Forevermark house from September 5.
South Korean fashion group E-Land appoints new chief. The conglomerate, whose businesses span retail, entertainment and dining, has appointed An Young-hun to the role of chief executive officer for its fashion arm, E-Land Retail, The Korea Herald reports. An joined E-Land Retail in 2007, led the company’s overseas business, and currently serves as the arm’s chief human resources officer.
