London

Our London office is located in Old Street, London's tech hub, home to a broad range of teams including Commercial, Marketing, and Product. We have large open plan spaces and a feature staircase connecting our 3 floors, encouraging our collaborative and open culture. We also have a big outdoor terrace where we can have lunch and host social events when the sun comes out!

You will be responsible for how we position and trade our supply day-to-day; overseeing a team of 10, with 3 direct reports and responsibility for resource planning across peak periods. The role covers commercial ownership of the manual surfacing strategy for MW, WW and KW, representing 55% of visits and 85% of session revenue. You ensure that you are aware of opportunities as they arise in the market or within Farfetch and are comfortable influencing across the business from Marketing, Product, Commercial and Creative to implement changes. To be successful, you will need to strike the right balance between daily, tactical and strategic initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Own the development of team strategy, key focuses and KPIs that coincides with needs of existing and potential customers, productivity of supply and the overall FF brand vision
  • Oversee team to measure and report on performance, tracking KPIs and uncovering actionable insights to optimise opportunities and improve revenue on a daily basis
  • Identify and push opportunities for growth categories such as Occasionwear, Bridal, Activewear, Sustainability, Fine Watches & Jewellery
  • Champion establishment of FF Fashion Authority and drive fashion perspective for the Commercial department
  • Key role in bridging commercial opportunities for FF acquisitions - Browns, Stadium Goods, New Guards Group
  • Take an active lead in driving the New In strategy and how FF positions this key destination
  • Build and own forward-looking view of marketplace supply for Commercial inputs
  • Work with Marketing to optimise content across channels (eg. email, SEO, home page, etc) and drive marketplace performance
  • Commercial point of contact for product initiatives covering Inspiration, Personalisation, Search, Ranking, Cross-selling, Taxonomy, PLP and PDP
  • Lead on ranking algorithm optimisation and testing from a commercial POV, to ensure automated surfacing enhances manual curation strategy
  • Drive tooling, reporting and localisation projects to enable team efficiencies and ensure scalable performance
  • Lead, inspire and grow the team to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. Managing performance, deadlines and quality through recognition and feedback, as well as resource planning and recruitment for the team.

The purpose of the Head of Online Merchandising is to oversee, grow and strengthen Farfetch as a modern luxury shopping destination and contribute to the commercial performance of the global marketplace. The role requires a balanced view of creative and commerce, to deliver storytelling and curated customer journeys that enhances engagement, as well as conversion and customer lifetime value.
