Job Title: Sr. Analyst - Data Engineering, Data Labs

Primary Purpose: Tapestry is looking for a junior to mid-level Data Engineer & Management Analyst to join our growing Data Labs team. The hire will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data assets and data ecosytem, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The ideal candidate has experience working with emerging data technologies and will support our product developers and data scientists on data initiatives ensuring optimal and consistent solutions are put in place.
Additionally, the candidate will play a role in Data Management across the Tapestry organization. This includes database maintenance and auditing, project management and supporting cross-functional teams such as IT, CRM, Customer Experience, Privacy and Marketing with data-related projects.

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in data engineering and management to:
- Develop scalable data driven solutions using new generation technologies to automate, deploy, and monitor processes supporting the creation of data assets, analytical models, and data products.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet requirements to support data science and analytics projects. Collaborate with various project stakeholders to define data requirements.
- Proactively identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Work with stakeholders across the enterprise to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Perform ad-hoc analytics to support requests from various cross-functional business partners.
- Support both Data Labs led and broader Tapestry required projects from gathering business requirements, data flow design/mapping, to user acceptance testing.
- Develop and implement automated processes to ensure a high-level of data quality and drive resolution for any data anomalies and inconsistencies.

The accomplished individual will possess:

- Programming experience with SQL and at least one modern language; Python preferred.
- Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, data/database architectures, and curated data sets.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow and data visualization/BI tools such as Tableau.
- Strong analytic skills and hands on experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets along with a natural curiosity to understand data and apply to business challenges.
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to non-technical resources.

An outstanding professional will have:
- College degree required w/ 2-3 years' experience or master's degree in computer science or engineering
- Experience with cloud architecture services (preferably AWS) including: Cloud Computing Capacity (EC2), Data Lakes (S3), Data Warehouses (Redshift), Serverless Computing (Lambda, Containers, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with basic data science concepts and processes including predictive model design/training, model deployments, and ongoing maintenance/support.
