About the role

Reporting to the Senior Director of Business and Product Strategy, the Senior Manager is responsible for working closely with the divisional GM(s) to develop long range product growth plans, tied to annual & seasonal plans, and guiding the initiatives that make those strategies come to life.

The Product Strategy Senior Manager helps to lead the pre-season strategic planning process for the division to ensure the guidance provided to the team is aligned with the direction of the division, current business performance and market trends.

What you'll do


  • Develop Product Long Range plans process (developing multi-year product strategies and financials) in close partnership with SVP of Merchandising, GMs and all levels of the cross-functional product team. Use market, competitor and customer data to identify category growth and business opportunities. Continuously review and improve existing processes


  • Communicate strategies to senior leaders to refine the long-term vision for product categories. Conduct analyses and create compelling presentations on Product Strategies to influence the organization's decision making by providing actionable views of market & competitor insights, consumer insights, macro trend insights, and internal performance analysis


  • Serve as a thought partner to leadership (Merchandising, Design, and Inventory Management) on key strategic questions. Serve as the expert on market, competitor and customer dynamics in priority divisions/categories


  • Partner with Consumer Insights to manage team budget, determine prioritization of initiatives, and shape Consumer Insights studies

  • Lead special divisional projects related to company initiatives - e.g. assortment architecture, collaboration/integration across markets & channels, assortment localization, etc.

    Ensure documentation of initiatives to deliver product growth strategies by cross functional group

Skills Required:

  • Problem Solving & Decision Quality:

    Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions. Demonstrates strong listening, written and oral communication skills
  • Financial and Business Acumen:

    Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results
  • Planning & Process Management Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals. Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Anticipate risks and identifies contingency plans and processes to prevent disruptions
  • Collaboration:

    Able to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of business partners to navigate complex situations. Can effectively influence and present ideas that lead others to action
  • Systems and Tools Acumen:

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and have aptitude to learn technical applications quickly


Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7

    years work experience, preferable in Strategy, Retail +/or product function
