Purdey - Facilities and Administrative Intern

(Fixed Term Contract - 12 months)

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

We are currently reviewing applications for a Facilities and Administrative Intern to work at James Purdey & Sons. This internship will be based in Mayfair where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in a number of ongoing initiatives that provide a unique window into the working processes of our office environment and business as a whole. As part of this role, you will assist with general facilities in the upkeep of Audley House site.

Building Facilities:
  • Supporting for general facilities; ensuring kitchen consumables are ordered regularly
  • Ordering stationary weekly and management of stationary cupboard
  • Attend meetings, taking and circulating minutes
  • Support in managing fire regulations and fire drills
  • Upkeep of training matrix and associated training requirements
  • Researching initiatives; environment, cost saving
  • Upkeep of Log Books; Physical Security and Site Defects
  • Manage specific rotas; car park, kitchen and keyholding
  • Running ad hoc errands


General Admin:
  • Daily Reception Duties, act as main contact for Audley House
  • Being part of the main reception in answering the mainline telephone
  • Maintain upkeep of Manton meeting room keeping it presentable and tidy at all times
  • Organising meetings and note-taking
  • Help with organising business travel
  • Circulate cards; birthday cards, special occasions
  • Helping with staff events such as Summer and Christmas parties
  • Research on initiatives; environment, CSR, cost saving
  • Some basic work on sage for creating PO numbers
  • Support in Expense Application, uploading expenses monthly


HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
  • Interest in facilities management and an understanding of an office environment with previous experience would be ideal but not essential
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Professional, cheerful presence with excellent people skills
  • Team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a can do attitude
