Position Overview
The Senior QA manager will be the lead in the market, partnering with global & regional QA leadership team to execute the QA global strategies and to set appropriate and actionable goals to ensure our brand right quality. Collaborate, influence, and strategize with cross-functional partners, including merchandising team, product technicians, operations, factories and QA partners, to share out data and insights that positively impact our product quality, and drive brand quality differentiators to achieve best in class finished goods quality protocols. Be the primary point of contact in the market and responsible for factory quality performance, carryout risk analysis of supply vendors and formulate corrective action plans in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Manage the operation and administration of QA function for their product area.
* Observe, evaluate and help correct factory internal Process controls in partnership with Product Technicians, Manufacturing Excellence team and Field QA team. Work with merchandisers, vendors, suppliers and manufacturers during seasonal cycles to anticipate, prevent and resolve quality problems.
* Liaise with vendor / offshore QA's / production team on quality issues, advise on RL QA standards.
* Liaise with production team on impact of failed audits, review and follow up on quality issues.
* Attend seasonal line review/PP meetings onshore or off-shore if possible.
* Filter and communicate key information to regional QA inspectors.
* Communicate quality requirements, inspection policies and procedures to new factories to ensure that production will meet company's requirement.
* Arrange evaluation on potential vendors in the areas of compliance.
* Assist merchandising team in sourcing new vendor/factories.
* Field visits and meetings with vendors/factories on quality issues.
* Provide comments and direction on quality issues to offshore QA's and VCA's.
* Collect relevant product technical information to support updates to product manual.
* Follow up with factories on any development centre inspection quality callouts
* Assist VCP Coordinator in selection and training of VCA's.
* Counterfeit sample verification.
* Arrange QA to supervise disposal of seconds.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

* Proven senior leadership experience in an international production and sourcing environment
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field. Industrial Engineering preferred.
* At least 15 years' relevant working experience; with 5 years of supervisory experience preferred
* Experience in apparel production and special projects on efficiency and SWAT support
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
* Able to proactively solve problems, effectively manage multiple challenges, and provide viable and innovative options for resolution
* Ability to build strong relationships with multiple internal and external parties
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Fluency in both spoken and written English
