Position: Human Resources Generalist

Department: People & Culture

Reports to: Director of People & Culture

Job Type: Contract-12 Months (full time)

October’s Very Own is looking to hire an HR Generalist to assist in overseeing and administering the human resources functions for the organization. We are looking for hands-on passionate driven personality that enjoys rolling up their sleeves and can multitask. Duties & Responsibilities:

· HR Administration- maintaining all employee personnel records

· Administration of benefits program

· Assist in maintaining Health and Safety compliance across the organization

· Assist in employee onboarding/orientation, training & development

· Provide timely support to employees in various HR topics as needed (vacation, compensation etc.)

· Work with accounting department to report all changes with regards to payroll, vacation and time off etc.

· Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures throughout organization

· Assist in tasks related to performance management as needed

· Work to ensure the organization is compliant with labor regulations

· Enforce HR policies, procedures and programs within organization to promote a positive and safe work environment

· Help to identify staffing needs and work with Director on recruitment and hiring

· Administer internal communications to personnel regarding HR announcements, updates of policies/procedures etc.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Qualifications:

· Minimum 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role

· Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources function

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Strong communication written and verbal- looking for an outgoing person who is comfortable interacting with staff members as needed

· 6-12 Months experience with Health & Safety required

· Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Docs, Gmail

· Knowledge of employment/ labor laws

· Knowledge of Netsuite or Seven shifts (nice to have)
