Position Objective

This position is responsible for trending analysis of supply chain systems, carrier performance, and freight rate analysis. Key responsibilities include: developing analytical tools and driving advanced data analysis.

FunctionalResponsibilities
  • Develop advanced analytical tools to query data repositories and generate reports to support users requests, oversee the process for reporting supply chain metrics and provide strategic input for opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Identify supply chain process improvement opportunities through strategic thinking, critical thinking and analysis and communicate recommendations to senior management.
  • Lead and conduct transportation network optimization studies; assess current supply chain initiatives, develop improvement plans and implement plans utilizing cross functional teams
  • Research, develop and implement best of class logistics/financial data mining systems and freight invoice audit/payment process in accordance with corporate policies
  • Design and develop Freight payment, order compliance, shipment reconciliation cycle time compliance, on-time delivery, freight cost modeling, and other transactional systems for the organization.
  • Collaborate with Finance CFT to maintain financial reporting and freight budgets by brand for all Store and DCOM Omni Channels
  • Responsible for data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations that support Logistics management.
  • Lead cross functional team to define and develop best of class supply chain and business processes and procedures (BPPs).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource, with both business and industry knowledge, for defining the internal partner's business requirements and objectives
  • Train and mentor associates in relational database management, Business Objects and SQL to improve general knowledge in the department.
  • Evaluate opportunities to reduce redundant data and implement new streamlined systems or procedures.
  • Define and develop ad-hoc, monthly and quarterly management and KPI reports. Lead cross functional teams in preparation and publication of reports.
  • Provide assistance as needed with departmental workload and/or special projects

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, finance and/or logistics related field preferred

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of logistics, systems or analytical experience or equivalent combination of both.
  • Expert knowledge in financial reporting and forecasting
  • Expert knowledge of freight rate structures, freight audit and carrier contracts.
  • Ability to execute in-depth carrier rate comparisons and prepare cost models & forecasts
  • Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, Word, Visio, and Sequel with the ability to create complex formulas, graphs, pivot tables, Able to mentor, train and coach others on these applications.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data trends, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make recommendations for resolution and act as a subject matter expert in supply chain processes and costing models.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to details; adhering to deadlines while ensuring accuracy, prioritizing workload accurately and that of others
  • Able to clarify and resolve complex business issues by breaking them down into meaningful components to determine root cause and redesigning internal and external business processes
  • Possess project management skills with ability to manage cross functional teams: define and delegate tasks, track participant's progress, document results and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient presentation skills with the ability to respond to questions in a meeting environment and identify feedback for appropriate escalation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact effectively with all levels and mentor peers
