ASSISTANT MANAGER - VISUAL MERCHANDISING AND STORE PLANNING
MAIN PURPOSE
- The primary focus of the Visual Merchandising is to gain visibility for the brand both through visual merchandising.
- The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will help bring the client in-store experience to a luxury level and will have significant understanding of overall business strategy to execute and implement visual plans in line with the brand image in Panerai Boutiques, Shop-in-Shops and Multi-brand stores.
- This position will work closely with the Store Planning Manager to plan, execute, track and report on the progress of Visual Merchandising activities in the United States and Canada.
- This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of visual merchandising and display functions, executing standards and guidelines, handling display for creative window or corner projects or special events, installation of seasonal merchandising themes, training sales staff of general visual merchandising and display.
- The role will also support the Store Planning Function as they continue to expand the presence of shop-in-shop / corner locations and help ensure the proper functioning of all boutiques (Currently 14 locations) and that boutiques are up to standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for merchandising all Retail and Wholesale points of sale. Ensuring all materials are up to date and up to brand's standards:
- Merchandising includes the decoration of windows, counters, backwalls, vitrines, duratrans, light boxes within the SIS and multi-brand environment, as well in-store boutiques.
- Animate stores with an emphasis on boutiques for seasonal or yearly campaigns. Implement Animations based on the brand guidelines but with an eye to the local physical space.
- Optimize brand presence in-store by obtaining better positioning, more space or improving display presence or décor
- Assist accounts in the correct merchandising set-up based on product assortment and key initiatives.
Manage timely inventory, ordering, distribution, and implementation of core materials to accounts:
- Track, organize and manage warehouse inventory
Track and develop account profile binder to include photos of existing real estate, new program installations, and copies of POS orders:
- Communicate regularly with NY office and HQ and provide regular reports regarding status on visual implementation, areas for improvement, recommendations
Build effective relationships with boutiques and wholesale locations, sales managers, customer service and consumer marketing teams:
- Cultivate strong client relationships. Communicate and educate account partners with regards to best merchandising practices.
- Liaise with vendors on all visual installations when required
Manage all associated Merchandising budgets and assist with overall budget tracking for the team:
- Track T&E and project expenditures & maintain budgets
Other projects as needed.
JOB PROFILE
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in design or marketing field.
Required Experience:
- Visual Merchandising experience. (2+ years)
- Luxury goods experience preferred.
Technical Skills / Abilities:
- Computer Proficient (MS Office)
- Technical programs including Adobe Photoshop.
- AutoCAD, InDesign a plus.
- SAP Experience preferred.
Personal Skills:
- Attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills a must.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and multi task is essential.
- Self-starter.
- Ability to travel / Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
